How to verify a 18K stamp
Check for 18K or 750 on the band interior or clasp. On 18K specifically, also hunt for a maker's mark next to the purity stamp. Signed 18K pieces (Cartier, Tiffany, VCA) sell on the brand market at multiples of melt, and scrapping one unexamined is the most expensive mistake in gold selling.
