Privacy Policy
Short version: no accounts, no ad trackers, no analytics cookies, and coin photos are processed once and not stored. The details below are the whole policy, not a summary of a longer one.
What we collect
Nothing directly. MeltCheck has no user accounts, no login, no newsletter, and sets no tracking cookies. Calculator inputs (weights, purities, coin selections) are processed in your browser and never sent to us.
Coin photos
If you use photo identification on the checker, your image is sent over HTTPS to our identification endpoint, forwarded to Anthropic's API for a one-time analysis, and the result is returned to your browser. We do not store the image, and we do not use it for anything except that single identification. Anthropic's handling of API inputs is governed by their commercial terms.
Infrastructure logs
The site runs on Cloudflare Pages, which produces standard, short-lived operational logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) as part of serving any website. Cloudflare also injects its cookieless Web Analytics beacon, which gives us aggregate page-view counts without cookies, fingerprinting, or cross-site tracking. We don't enrich, export, or analyze these beyond keeping the site running. Spot prices are fetched from gold-api.com server-side; your requests to our pages are not shared with them.
